PPP persuades Bhagwandas to head NAB: Shah

Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Wednesday said the Pakistan People’s Party has persuaded Rana Bhagwandas to head the National Accountability Bureau.
Talking to reporters outside the Parliament House, he said, new name would be provided if any legal complication arises in this regard.
“We have persuaded Rana Bhagwandas for his appointment as the chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), while Justice (r) Sardar Raza has not been contacted so far in this regard.”
He said that it should be investigated that how the Abbottabad Commission’s report was leaked out. During the PPP regime no national secret was leaked out while in the first month of the PML-N government such secrets have been revealed.
Meeting on national security should not be delayed as it is a national issue, and it should not be linked to Imran Khan. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to China, instead of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was meaningful, he added.
To a question, he said that it is wrong statement by government that they have paid the circular debt of the PPP. The PPP also paid outstanding dues of former president Pervez Musharraf’s regime.
