FJWU VC asked to remove billboards from varsity

The district government has issued notice to the Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) vice chancellor to remove huge billboards installed in the varsity premises.
The district government has fixed maximum sized hoarding boards as 20×60 feet, while three boards of size 30×90 feet are installed on campus premises. Therefore the varsity admin has been asked to remove the billboards.
Moreover, huge billboards can be seen installed on local government office buildings as well. According to the officials of Taxation Department, the district government had sent a summary to the DCO proposing removal of huge signboards from highways including Murree Road.
The district government was asked about the estimated cost of removal of boards after which the summary was sent again.
