Cops nab 80 during operation

The Islamabad Police on Wednesday impounded 20 vehicles and 98 motorcycles. The police also reprimanded motorists and removed tinted glass from 75 vehicles.
According to the details Islamabad Senior Superintendent Police Yaseen Farooq directed all zonal officers, Senior District Police Officers and Senior House Officers to remain vigilant and keep an eye on the activities of roguish elements/
The actual aim of the general holdup is to maintain law and order situation in the capital and to curb the criminals’ activities. An operation was also carried out by the police in which 80 suspects were apprehended.
Moreover, the police arrested 12 outlaws from various localities of the city and recovered 3 cars, liquor in a large quantity, 1,200 kilogram of hashish, 5 pistols and, a police spokesman told reporters.
According to details, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Muhammad Iqbal of the Shalimar Police arrested Zahoor Aabbas, a dacoit and recovered stolen property amounting to Rs.3, 000/ – from him.
Police arrested two accused Muhamad Imran and Muhammad Ashraf and recovered two handguns and a large amount of ammunition in addition to three accused Aabbas , Malik Sadam who were nabbed with hashish in large quantity along with 12-bore weapons..
Ramana Police arrested two accused Muhamamd Imran and Jarg and recovered a 30 bore pistol from their possession.
Meanwhile, CIA police arrested a carjacker Rabnawaz and recovered a vehicle from his possession.
Cases have been registered against all those arrested by the police and further investigations are underway.
