Three killed in separate incidents

At least three persons were killed on Tuesday in separate incidents of violence in the city.

According to the police, armed assailants gunned down 65-year-old Mehboob in Defence over a property dispute, escaping from the scene.

Further, suspect Sohail Wajid, opened fire on his 45-year-old maternal uncle Gulzar in Sherkot over a domestic issue, killing him on the spot, while 27-year-old Malik Liaqat was gunned down by a neighbour over personal differences in Garhi Shahu.

The bodies were shifted to different hospitals of concerned areas for medico-legal formalities.

Cases have been registered and investigations are underway.

Factory selling substandard beverages raided

Shahdara Police on Tuesday raided a substandard beverage factory, arresting 12 people and seizing raw material.

The raid was conducted on a tip off. A case has been registered against the accused.
