Shahbaz is back with some money from China

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that Pakistan would launch another Metro Bus project with China’s help, and build a Karachi-Lahore Motorway soon.

Speaking to the media at the airport on his way back from an official visit to China, Sharif said that Pakistan and China had proved that their friendship was everlasting.

He termed his seven-day trip to China very successful and lauded the warmth and hospitality which he received at all the places he visited with the rest of the Pakistani delegation.

He informed that during his visit he held a number of meetings with Chinese companies and invited them to invest in energy‚ infrastructure development and other sectors of Pakistan’s economy.

He said that successful rounds of talks were held with Chinese companies’ representatives, during which they had expressed their readiness to invest in Pakistan.

To a question regarding the current energy crisis, Shahbaz Sharif said that Karachi port’s machinery would be utilised to complete a 425Mega Watts (MW) Power Project at Nandipur.

Further, he termed the bomb blast at the food Street in Old Anarkali unfortunate, saying that the perpetrators would not be spared.
