Militants on Monday torched three NATO containers in the Western Bypass area of Quetta.
According to the police, four terrorists on two motorcycles opened fire on the containers, forcing the drivers to abandon the vehicles. Police sources added that the terrorists set the containers on fire.
Police said that the three containers were parked at the Hazarganji bus stand.
“Roaring flames of fire and thick black smoke could be seen from quite far away,” witnesses said.
The assailants escaped from the scene.
Meanwhile, the containers gutted completely as fire-fighters reached late. No human loss was reported since the drivers managed to escape from the spot.
Terrorists have intensified their attacks against NATO supplies recently. The incident has come just a day after the terrorists torched a container in the Dhadar area of Bolan District.
