TDAP to organise 8th Expo Pakistan in September

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) would organise 8th Expo Pakistan 2013 in September at the Karachi Expo Centre, 1000 foreign buyers are expected to participate, said Jamil Anwar, Director General, TDAP-Karachi while addressing to the members of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) on Monday.
He said that Expo Pakistan has evolved into an international showcase and has opened the doors for trade partners to participate and meet with local and foreign buyers. He said that a huge number of foreign buyers participate every year and has proved a successful venture for One-stop sourcing for entire range of Pakistani products under one roof. He said that its primary objective is expanding export base of Pakistani products and services, to show the culture of Pakistan and to project the positive image of Pakistan internationally also.
Giving details he said that 30 percent discount would be offered on total space to Associations in Expo Pakistan 2013 and programs for seminars, workshops, cultural shows and cat walk are planned also. 80 percent stalls have been booked for the Expo, he informed.
He said that nearly 1000 buyers from 58 countries visited Expo Pakistan 2012 last year wherein stalls of 335 Pakistani products were displayed and a business of $518 was generated.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) President Mian Zahid Aslam, said that Expo Pakistan 2013 is an appreciative initiative of TDAP and assured of FCCI assistance in this context.
