SC assured of computerisation of revenue record

The Islamabad administration and Balochistan governments have told the Supreme Court that entire record of revenue would be computerised until January 30, 2014.
A three-member bench, led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, resumed the hearing of the case.
The federal as well as provincial governments have submitted the report on the instructions of the Supreme Court in which it was told that Punjab and Sindh have computerised the revenue record.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government told the court that the computerisation of record of three cities has been completed, and soon the record of other cities would be put on computer.
Islamabad administration told the court the process of computerization of record is underway, which would be completed by January 30, 2014.
The Supreme Court has issued a seven-page detailed report regarding the computerization of the revenue record in which it was revealed that the corruption has been pointed out in Punjab’s record but after computerisation of record, people would get relief from the spiteful behaviour of patwraris
