Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Sunday telephoned Jamaat-e-Islami chief Munawar Hasan and invited him to attend the All Parties Parliamentary Conference (APPC) to be held on July 12.
The interior minister extended the invitation on behalf of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The heads of political parties in parliament will consult on security policy.
The minister also called opposition leader Khursheed Shah‚ MQM leader Farooq Sattar and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Sardar Akhtar Mengal and invited them in this regard.
