- Four Sasta Bazaars, 35 Fair Price Shops on cards during Ramadan
District administration has finalised arrangements for setting up four Sasta Bazaars and 35 Fair Price Shops in the federal capital and rural areas for provision of food items at cheaper rates as compared to the market prices.
Sasta Bazaars and Fair Price Shops will start working as soon as Ramadan commences. The prices of commodities available at the whole sale rates are as follows: 20 kg flour bag at Rs 670 against market rate of Rs 750, Dal channa at Rs 60 per kg against market rate of Rs 85, basin at Rs 65 per kg against market rate of Rs 80 and ghee Rs 140 per kg against market rate of Rs 160.
The bazaars will open at the start of Ramadan in Sector G-7, opposite Khyber Plaza, Koral, Bara Kahu and Rawat.
Meanwhile, the Food Department has notified the names of 35 fair price shops to become functional: Muhammad Javed Cooperative Store, Sector G-6/1-4, Muhammad Hussain Chaudhary Traders Channab Market, Sector G-7/1, Mushtaq Ahmed Abbasi General Store, Amer Market, Sector G-7/2, Muhammad Irfan Sarhad General Store, Tippu Market, Sector G-8/1, Muhammad Arshad Good Luck Store, Allah Wali Market, Sector F-8/1, Jan Muhammad Pak Sarhad Store, Sector 1-9/4, Muhammad Sardar Multani Market, Sector G-9/2, Shamshad Khattak Store, Sungam Market, Sector I-8/3, Shams ul Arfeen Pakeeza Store, Sector F-7/1, Faisal Aziz Mujahid Store, Sector G-9/4 market, Mubashar Ahmed, Muhammad Ali Store, Jan Market, Sector G-7/4, Jamil Frontier Store, Rajput Market, Sector I-10/1, Rauf General Store, Tanveer Store, G-11 Markaz, Basra General Store, G-10 Markaz, Arshad Store, Al-Shaikh Market, Sector I-10/1, Khattak Store, Amer Market, Sector I-10/4, Muhammad Jamil Store, Rajput Market, SectorI-10/1 and Ziafat Fair Price Shop, Sector G-6/1-3.
