Different areas of the twin cities received heavy rainfall on Saturday morning turning the weather pleasant.
According to the Meteorological Department of Pakistan (MDP) the spell of rainfall along with thunderstorm is likely to continue at different places for the next 24 hours.
The early morning showers decreased the mercury level giving relief to the citizens from the prolonged heat wave.
Besides, heavy downpours with strong winds were reported from various parts of the province including Lahore, Pasrur and Daska. The Met office has predicted more rain in Punjab, Kashmir and Sindh during the next 24 hours.
While in Multan and its suburbs partly cloudy weather with chances of dust raising winds have been forecasted.
