LYARI REMAINS PEACEFUL BUT TENSE

After week-long violence and criminals’ running battles with law enforcement agencies, troubled Lyari remained relatively peaceful but tense on Saturday.

According to media reports, Lyari started witnessing peace Saturday morning and traffic appeared on Maripur Road which hitherto presented war-zone looks on Friday when around six people became victim of on-going violence in the area.

Following relative peace, residents of Agra Taj Colony, Juna Masjid, Phool Patti Lane and Hangurabad came out of their houses but shops and business areas were completely shut.

However, as tension prevailed in the area some residents left the area and moved to safer places.
