166 vehicles seized, 23 suspects arrested

Capital police on Saturday during general holdup confiscated 10 vehicles, 156 motorcycles and shifted them to different police stations.

Tinted black papers were also removed from 92 vehicles and 23 suspects were arrested during a search operation.

According to details Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Yaseen Farooq directed officers of different zones, SDPOs and SHOs to remain vigilant against any mischievous elements. The duty of officers has been tightened at check points with enhanced patrolling of different areas of the city.

The actual aim of the general holdup is to maintain law and order situation in the capital and to curb criminal activities.

Inspector General Police Bani Amin Khan and the SSP have appreciated the performance of police officers.

The SSP also directed to further beef up security in their respective areas.
