Justice Jawwad S Khawaja on Friday expressed dissatisfaction over the competency and effectiveness of the Missing Persons Commission regarding handling cases of missing persons.

A three member bench headed by Justice Khawaja expressed these remarks while hearing the case of missing persons. Justice Khawaja said that the commission was not handling cases effectively, therefore all cases were being heard at the Supreme Court (SC) instead.

The court ordered the family of imprisoned Fasih Ullah in Lakki Marwat to visit him. Justice Khawaja said that police had powers, but unfortunately they were not using their powers practically.

The court also directed to take action against the Inspector Amir belonging to a certain intelligence agency and ordered the Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawalpindi to take stern action against the said inspector.

In a meeting on Thursday, the advocate generals were advised to submit report of persons who were under arrest. During the meeting defence secretary said that there was no restriction on the practice of family members visiting their imprisoned relatives.

In this regard, the report was presented by Faisal Saiddiqui to the court on Friday. Justice Khilji Arif Hussain said that all issues of missing persons would be resolved if reasons of their arrest were identified.

In his remarks, Justice Ijaz said that if institutions were allegedly involved in forcible arrest of persons, then how was it possible that the officials of these institutions would allow anyone to meet and visit the arrested persons.

The court further adjourned the hearing till 9th July.

  1. But wasn't it DESIGNED to be incompetent by the CJ when he appointed Retd. Justice Javed Iqbal — the coverup artist — as it's head?????

Remember when he promised all will be decided in two weeks? That was back in 2010

2010: Pakistan supreme court to decide on missing persons case in two weeks

Then in 2011 we were told:
Missing persons: Commission to submit report within 45 days

In 2012 Justice Javed Iqbal LIED to us again:
Foreign agencies behind missing persons: Justice Javed Iqbal

And in 2013, Justice javed iqbal IS STILL preparing the report:
Missing persons: Commission likely to submit report to PM

Of course we know there will be NO truth in that report as JUSTICE Javed P!gbal has already let us know it was "foreigners!!!"
