CDA chairman calls for road marking

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Nadeem Hassan Asif has directed concerned formations to establish road marking in order to improve traffic flow and the safety of road users.
He said that a comprehensive plan would be devised in consultation with all stakeholders. In the first phase, he said busy roads should be prioritized and road marking should follow international standards in consultation with the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP).
Asif also stressed that road marking will not only provide the best traffic facilities to the residents of the capital but will also help in reducing road accidents.
Road marking, road safety and traffic flow was discussed at a meeting with Asif in the city at CDA headquarters.
Member of Planning and Design, Member of Engineering, Director of Markets and
Roads Maintenance, Director of Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning and SSP of ITP also attended this meeting.
