The Punjab government in a notification on Wednesday cancelled two weekly holidays in public institutions across the province.
According to the announcement, all government departments except the Civil Secretariat and Inspector General’s Office would have six working days.
The caretaker provincial government on April 9 had announced two days off in a week to combat the ongoing energy crisis by reducing power consumption.
