PR Malaysian Education Expo draws keen interest

KARACHI: Pakistani students can acquire quality and higher education at an affordable cost in Malaysiawhich is fast becoming a higher education hub in Asia. This was said by Malaysian Consul General Mr Abu Bakar Mamat, at the inauguration of the two-day Tenth Study Malaysia Education Exhibition which began inKarachi yesterday. The Tenth Study Malaysia Education Exhibition held in Pearl Continental Hotel, drew huge crowds mainly high school students mostly accompanied by parents. The participants explored options available inMalaysia to suit their career options and budgets. The Malaysian Consul General said UNESCO (United Nation Education Science and Cultural Organisation) has ranked Malaysia ninth in the world as a preferred destination for international students. The high standard and excellent facilities Malaysian universities provide, are key to attracting foreign students, he added. He said Malaysia presently has 21 public Universities, 5 branch campuses of UK and AustralianUniversities, more than 33 private universities and over 500 higher education institutes that provide a diverse range of courses in various areas of specialisation. Talking to the media, the Malaysian Consul General pointed out the high standards, commitment and satisfaction Malaysian higher education institutes have ensured in the last decade for international students.
