The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) was informed on Tuesday that former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf could not be produced in court in the Benazir Bhutto murder case for fears of his security.
However, the court ordered Musharraf’s appearance in court on the next hearing.
FIA prosecutor Chaudhry Azhar also did not appear before in court despite orders.
During the hearing, police report relating to production of Pervez Musharraf in the court was submitted. The report said the accused could not be produced for lack of security arrangements.
The lawyer of Pervez Musharraf said an appeal for exemption of Musharraf’s presence in the court had been made.
Later, the court ordered Pervez Musharraf’s be produced on next hearing and adjourned proceedings until July 9.
