Emraan to play Aamir’s role in Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi remake Mahesh Bhatt is remaking Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi with Emraan Hashmi reprising Aamir Khan’s character. While the director hasn’t been finalised yet, it is learnt that the basic storyline will be the same as the original. Says Mahesh Bhatt, “The film I directed was modelled on It Happened One Night by Frank Capra, but didn’t do justice to the hero’s character. With this remake, we seek to do justice to the character played originally by Clark Gable, that of an unapologetic rake.
