Lahore District Coordination Officer (DCO) Naseem Sadiq on Tuesday demanded a fresh enquiry into the Lahore Development (LDA) Plaza fire in a letter to the Punjab chief minister’s principal secretary.
The DCO claimed that the plaza was set on fire deliberately, to burn controversial commercial plazas’ records. Thus, a fresh enquiry was in order.
The letter further stated that the evidences collected from the plaza’s seventh floor pointed in this direction.
DCO Naseem Sadiq also demanded that evidence through the forensic laboratory be collected to probe into the matter and determine if the fire had been started intentionally.
