Three killed in firing on passenger buses in Khuzdar

At least three persons were killed and several others injured when unidentified assailants opened fire on passenger buses in different areas of Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Sunday.
According to Levies sources, unknown gunmen riding motorcycles opened indiscriminate firing on three passenger buses in Kaka Heer and Darra Kahala areas of tehsil Wadh.
As a result, three persons died on the spot and several others sustained injuries.
The assailants managed to escape unharmed from the sites of incidents.
The dead bodies and injured were shifted to Khuzdar Civil Hospital for medico-legal requirements. Some critically injured people were later referred to Quetta for treatment.
Following the incidents, panic spread in the area. Heavy contingents of security forces reached the scene, cordoned off the areas and started search operations to trace the attackers.
Meanwhile Transporters Union staged a protest demonstration against the attacks on passenger buses and demanded authorities to ensure security of travelers and public transport vehicles.
