3 killed in Peshawar and Kurram attacks

At least three people, including two policemen, were killed and another four were injured in separate incidents in Peshawar and Kurram Agency on Monday.

Official said two policemen from Pishtakhara Police Station were attacked by two militants while the two were going about their routine duties. The militants, on a motorcycle, opened indiscriminate fire on the policemen killing the two on the spot. A passerby was also injured in the firing.

Meanwhile, an improvised explosives-devise (IED), planted by unidentified men, went off killing one and injuring another three near Malikhel village in Kurram Agency.

A vehicle, carrying several passengers, was on way from Malikhel to Parachanar headquarters when it was hit by an IED.

The killed was a Shia and officials believe that it was an act of sectarian violence.
