Five insurgents, including two Pakistani nationals, have been arrested in two separate incidents in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Kunar, the National Directorate for Security (NDS) said in a statement on Monday.
“Two Pakistani nationals, who have been detained by security forces, have allegedly confessed to their crimes to have been trained in Peshawar and sent to Afghanistan for operating anti-government activities, according to Afghan based Wakht news agency.”
“Three other rebels have been captured by Afghan forces, who have been involved in murder, armed theft and other terrorist activities in the province,” said the NDS in the statement.
The government armed oppositions including the armed Taliban have not still commented on the report.
The case is under investigation and the details will be revealed later.
