The Margallah Police have arrested a man who allegedly clubbed his daughter to death and tried to mislead the police claiming that his daughter was missing.
Saddar Police Superintendent (SP) Jameel Ahmed Hashmi told media-men on Friday that Ahmed Yar lodged the report with Margalla Police Station regarding missing of his daughter on June 5, 2013. He added that in the report his daughter left the home situated in residential Colony, Sector E-9 at 10pm and did not return. He tried to search his daughter but to no avail and later found her dead body around 4:30pm in front of the residential block opposite to his home. A case (FIR 313) was registered against unidentified men under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The SP said that he constituted a special team under his supervision following the directions from the Inspector General (IG) Bani Amin Khan and SSP Yaseen Farooq to trace the culprits at the earliest. The team including Sub-Inspector Asad Mehmood and others investigated into the matter and apprehended his father after finding strong evidences against him.
It was revealed that he clubbed his daughter to death, dumped her body in front of the residential blocks and then lodged a complaint with the police.
The son of accused Ahmed Yar had also given a statement before Industrial Area assistant commissioner that his father had stabbed to death his sister and asked family members not to disclose it threatening with dire consequences.
The wife of the accused has also lodged an application with the police and alleged her husband as killer of her daughter. Police have obtained physical remand of the accused and further investigation is underway.
POLICE NAB 16 OUTLAWS: The city police in its drive against anti-social elements on Friday arrested sixteen accused from different localities and recovered illegal arms and drugs from their possession.
Police seized 3,053 grams charas, 110 grams heroin, 60 grams opium, 34 bottles of liquor and two 30-bore pistols from the arrested accused.
According to details, Sadiqabad Police apprehended Shahid and Aslam and recovered 1,080 and 1,115 grams charas from them respectively. The police alos held Sajid for carrying a 30-bore pistol. R.A Bazar and Rawat Police arrested Waqas and Imtiaz and recovered 125 and 113 grams charas from each respectively. Mandra Police nabbed Qadeer and recovered 110 grams charas and arrested Jamil and Fazil and recovered a stolen cow from their possession.
Naseerabad Police caught Imran and Khurram for carrying 110 grams heroin and 10 bottles of liquor respectively whereas Taxila Police arrested Zia and Muhammad Jan with 60 grams of opium.
Ganjmandi Police seized eight bottles of liquor from accused Jerry, while Race Course Police arrested Ali for carrying 11 bottles of liquor. Kahuta and Ratta Amral Police apprehended Anjum and Tanveer with five bottles of liquor and a 30-bore pistol respectively.
Cases have been registered under relevant sections against the arrested accused while further investigation is underway.
