35 food outlets fined

District Health Officer Dr Amirzada Khan, along with teams of food and sanitary inspectors, conducted inspection of food outlets in various areas of the city. Inspection was conducted in areas of Rawat, Sihala, Ghori Town, Sharifabad, I-8 Markaz and Melody Market where 35 hotels and bakeries were issued fines for unhygienic sanitary conditions under the Hygiene and Sanitation Rule. The officer issued warnings to the culprits and said that violators compromising on hygiene and sanitation would be dealt with strictly according to the law. He told that food sampling was carried out from these food outlets and samples were sent to the laboratory for quality test. The Health Department has instructed all food outlets to ensure the quality of food items and compliance of relevant rules without failure.
