The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government on Friday presented a new energy policy to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, recommending an energy mix as a way forward and proposed phasing out subsidy on the power sector but also recommending subsidy protection for consumers using 300 or below units of electricity per month, Pakistan Today has learnt reliably.
Energy mix means regime change under which focus from thermal power will be shifted to coal-based power generation for cheaper energy production.
A source told Pakistan Today that the prime minister expressed his satisfaction over the new paradigm shift in the energy sector but also gave some new ideas and asked to incorporate them in the final document.
“After finalsing the policy, the final product will be submitted with the Council of Common Interests (CCI) for approval,” the official said, adding that the premier wanted to take the provinces on board over the new energy policy which could not be implemented without cooperation from the provincial governments and all federating units.
The source said the prime minister directed the meeting to keep in place the subsidy for those who could not afford to pay bills with the increasing price of electricity.
Chairing the high-level meeting held to give final touches to the new power policy here at the PM’s Office, PM Nawaz said the new policy would turn out to be a panacea of Pakistan’s energy ills.
Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Minister Information and Broadcasting Pervez Rashid, Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister for Water and Water Khawaja Asif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, as well as Dr Musaddiq Malik, Shaukat Tareen and other stakeholders from the private and public sectors attended the meeting.
A statement issued after the meeting said the people and the economy had suffered badly at the hands of the crippling power crisis and it was high time prudent and consistent policies were pursued to come out of the mess.
“The meeting not only discussed the broad contours of the new energy policy but also analysed minute details. It also decided that the new power policy will be announced shortly by the prime minister,” the statement read.

IN SHA ALLAH it will be quite beneficial for whole country, trying to work but still have to face the blaming of people who do not have view point of practical work.
Soon you will find Ittefaq group invested in coal mining/production or equipment used for mining/producing coal based energy.
When rest of the world is moving away from coal based power generation as it severely pollutes the atmosphere and can cause serious illnesses including cancer, why in the world this govt is going for this? Its clear they just want to score cheap points in front of people to show that they are "doing something" and leave the mess for the future.
There is abundant supply of solar and wind energy resources in the country. The right approach is to start investing in building a viable infrastructure for harnessing these sources of energy. If Solar panels are manufactured locally, their cost can be reduced over 60-80% as we have plenty of raw material, this way we can encourage everybody to use solar panels as it will more affordable. Besides in the scorching heat of summer when everybody needs more electricity we also have highest intensity of sunlight, so if right strategy is used we can harness it quite efficiently and solve this energy crisis in a sustainable fashion. But the dilemma is those who want to profit from this crisis (Nawaz Sharif & Associates) they won't get their dime if they go for a common sense approach. As apparently whats good for their wallets is bad for Pakistani nation.
This is the straight & more sensable approach. In other civilized countries they have Energy Policy where you can feed surplus generated electricity to the Grid basis net metering. Meaning if you have a renewable energy system which gives you say 10Kw & you are just using 8Kw the excess of 2Kw is fed into the the Grid & you are compensated / credited & in case you consume 12Kw for example you are charged for 2Kw only. This System is known as "GRID TIE SYSTEM". A contract is signed by the consumer & the Electrict company. For days I am looking for such a policy if in Pakistan we can install GRID TIE SYSTEM & have written to our Electric company but so far no answer.
Pakistani Coal is not good enough to produce Energy,there is no Policy on Fuel Supply Agreement for IPPs on Imported Coal so how this Govt intends to switch over new & existing Thermal Units on Coal?

SUBJECT= WHY PLAZAS OWNERS ARE NOT PAYING FULL TAXES.

There are existed 250 Nos Plazas in Blue areas Islamabad of four to five Nos Storeys and having at leasts 50 Nos office units in every plazas and every tenent is paying rent of Rs 250000x 12 =RS 3000000/- per year (RS Three Million) .Hence every plaza owner is earning 3000000×50= Rs 150000000 (Rs 150 Millions) and as such, all the Plaza owners are earning
Rs 150Millions x 250 = Rs 37500Millions approximately ( RS 37.5 ARAB). If they pay income tax at the rate of 20% per year, then total amount of Income taxes would be 7500 Millions but it is learnt that every plaza is paying income tax of only a few thousand of rupees to the government of Pakistan because all these plazas are owned by source full persons and politicians of Pakistan while on others side low income are paying 50% tax on a few thousand of monthly income, sale tax on every purchased item and utility bills. .
If we calculate exact amount of income taxes on all plazas of Pakistans and business men ,then total income tax can be recovered Rs 6000 trillions .It is most sufficient Amount b for the Pakistan in which our govt can clear all foreign debts and can complete all the developments works .If our govt is sincered in getting recovery of income taxes,then first of all,our govt should terminate all the corrupted officers of income taxes and FBR and consficated their all properties billion billions of Rupees earned by unfair means in the best interest of Pakistan. Those persons whose monthly income is of Rs 50000/- should be exempted from paying income taxes because such persons are living in rented houses,they are paying utility bills,medical treatment ,education fees of their sons, transports fares etc and hardly pass their both ends meet
Hence I will advise to PRIME MINISTER OF PAKISTAN that full income taxes should be recovered from most wealthy persons and land lords of this Islamic country of Pakistan so that we should develop this country for prosperous purpose.

It is not a first incident but before this ,many Nos of
Such Shameful Incidents have been happened/occurred in
this Islamic country of Pakistan .A list of few incidents are
the following.
1)- The incidents of kidnapping and killing of Chinese
engineers,
2)- Killing of mountaineers,
3) Firing on Sri Lankan Cricket team at Lahore,
4)- Attack on Newzealand cricket team in Karachi .
and so many Nos of others shameful incidents with
our most respected foreigner guests and every time,
the good position of our Islamic country of Pakistan

Now question is arise here why such shameful

This is in a reference of letter SIKANDER AKI SHAH of KANDIARO
Which appeared in all the English newspapers of Pakistan under heading
( AN ETIPATHE OF MUHUBALA) & (LEVELLING THE GRAVES).
I have also checked most of the muslim history indo-Pakistan books
and even the Islamic encyclopedias in order to learn that where are graves
and monuments of great historical persons and that whether their graves
and monuments are existed in india or not. If their graves and monuments
are still then what are their present position. But sikander Ali Shah has
stated only and only expired muslim persons of Indian film industries but
many Nos facts are on the records in many Nos of past newspapers ie
1)- Indian govt has demolisahed many Nos of Mosques in india and Kashmir
In which unpleasant incidents of insulting of ROZA DARBAR of SIRI Nagar and
Unpleasant incident of demolishing of Babri mosque are the main events.
2)- in addition to this, the Indian govt has killed Many thousand muslims
in many nos of hindu muslims riots ,ie in ahmedabad Banglore etc
3)- Similarly, Indian govt has killed many thousands innocents kashmiries in occupied Kashmir for the last more than 66 years since 1947.But our govt
Has never made any protest very seriously while we are taking great care to
look after their all the sacred places.
4)- The daily Indian Express has reported in jan 2002 that most of the graves
And monuments have been vanished of all past well known muslim persons
In india.
5)- The same situation is happened with past expired muslim persons of
Indian film industries .For example, Film director K.Asif had made a most costly
Super hit film MUGHLE AZIM in 1960 in which two great actors (i) Dilip (Yousif Khan)
& (ii) Mudhubala (Mumtaz) had performed wonderful acting .This film had given of
an handsome revenue Rs 46 Millions to govt of India.but where is grave of mudhubala.It is not known to anybody.
6)- Similarly, where are the graves of Manawar Sultana,Nigar Sultana,Surraiya,
Meena Kumari (Mahjabeen, Ghulam Hussain, Talat Mehmood, Nasir Khan, K.Asif, Mehboob Khan
Etc are not known to any bod. However ,the Indian govt should respect the muslim monuments and their graves in india so that a sign of good relationship should be appeared between both countries of inda and Pakistan and we should adopt a good policy of peace and respect the sacred places on humantarian base.

UNSATISFACTORY ACTIVITIES OF NGOS

There are existed many Nos of NGOS and Social Workers Organisations but they are not doing any type of welfare work
on ly except the gulping of the funds received from the govt.
At presently only two Nos of social welfare works organizations ie EDHI TRUST & CHIPPA TRUST are doing social welfare works in most excellent way while all others NGOS & Social welfare organisation are the most fraudy.I have noticed many nos of frauds of such most fraudy organizations. I will advise to Prime Minister of Pakistan that all the welfare funds received from foreign countries may kindly be transfer to and only to Edhi Trust and CHIPPA trusts only .
I am saying this because of the following reasons,
1)- All the NGOS and Socal; Welfare OIrganisations are not honest. They have not done any welfare works only except misappropriation of the funds and gulkping of the funds.
2)-In the earthquake of October 2004, it was noticed that no any special T&P, equipments and plants of rescue work (ie for picking out the buried persion in the deepest down debries ) were existed in the possession of NGOs & WELFARE Organisation s. It was rescue parties of Itlay, and german who have brought their own rescue equipments etc for saving the life of buried person inside the mountain debries.
Hence I am of the views that our Govt may kindly be closed all the NGOS which are running on govt funds.All such welfare funds may be transfer to most honest social workers of Pakistan such like EDHI TRUST and CHIPPA TRUST.Even the orphanage organizations are also most fraudy. One orphanage organization is receiving over Rs 800000000(ie800Millions) every years from Zakat,FITRANA etc from wealthy persons only for caring 200 orphans boys ie Rs 4000000(4 million per boy) but question is arsed where the extra funds are being utilizing ?
If our govt transfer all welfare funds to Edhi Trust etc, then they will purchase all most necessary equipments for the rescue work at such emergency incidents which may be occurred at any time.
The workers of Edhi Trust are most efficient and hard worker and they can do more better work 100 times more than others NGOS.I hope that our Prime Minister of Pakistan will surely act on this most useful policy in the best intertest of the
