The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recovered Rs 9.471 million from, Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) Housing and Works Division General Manager Syed Iqbal Shah, Islamabad. He has been booked for corruption and for accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income. After NAB took notice, the accused filed an application for Voluntary Return (VR) under section 25 (a) of NAO 1999. The accused agreed to pay back Rs 9.471 million which was recovered by the investigation team. The investigation team found this amount disproportionate to his known sources of income during his tenure as ‘Public Office Holder’ from 1987-2012. The application was approved by NAB as the accused returned the amount voluntarily.
