FBR ceases CDA’s bank accounts

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) taking drastic steps on Thursday ceased all the bank accounts of the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The FBR has appointed Advocate Qazi Ghulam Dastagir as Resource Personal tasked to collect Rs 877 million from the civic body. Confirming the development, Dastagir told INP that the FBR has ceased all the bank accounts of CDA. He added that several raids were conducted in offices of the CDA and transfer deeds of plots confiscated including millions of rupees in cash. He further said that the FBR has linked the one window operation with the tax recovery.
