Drop box facility for attestation of documents started

Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started Drop Box Facility for the attestation of documents which will be available through select courier companies.
Foreign office spokesman Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry giving details said in order to facilitate the general public, select courier companies, namely TCS, Gerry’s, OCS, UPS and Leopards have been authorised to receive documents for attestation (except Power of Attorney) from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all its camp offices located at four provincial headquarters.
This ministry will receive documents from Islamabad, Rawalpindi and its suburbs while documents from other cities will be received by the respective camp offices. Service charges of Rs. 100 per applicant will be charged for Rawalpindi-Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar and Lahore while Rs. 200 will be charged for all other cities.
Expenditure on stamps will be borne by the applicant whereas the courier company shall be responsible for the total cost of reconstruction of any documents whether damaged or lost. The affected applicant will bear no additional charge. The foreign office has requested the general public to make use of the drop box facility .
