Meezan Bank has been awarded Pakistan’s ‘Best Islamic Bank’, ‘Best Islamic Retail Bank’ and ‘Best Islamic Trade Finance Bank’ by the Asset ‘Triple A’ Awards, Hong Kong. The bank has also been awarded, ‘Best Highly Commended Islamic Deal – Pakistan’ as a joint lead adviser and arranger for Pakistan Mobile Communications. This is the third consecutive year Meezan Bank has been awarded these awards. In 2012, the bank’s deposits increased by 36% to Rs 230 billion and it moved from being the 9th to the 8th largest bank branch network in Pakistan.
