Minister of State for National Health Services Regulation and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar on Wednesday said that the government was committed to make Pakistan a polio free state. The minister, in an interview with Radio Pakistan, said that there would be no compromise on the polio programme. She said that negligence in duties would not be tolerated. The number of polio cases has decreased in the country except in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, she added. She said that polio cases have registered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa showed 17 per cent increase.
