The Excise & Taxation (E&T) Department has accelerated its campaign against property tax defaulters and sealed 72 properties for the nonpayment of property tax. The department also recovered Rs 2.9 million in property tax arrears from the defaulters. A campaign was launched for the recovery of outstanding dues by Rawalpindi Division E&T Director Shakeel-ur-Rehman. Excise and taxation officers (ETOs) and assistant ETOs conducted raids against tax defaulters in Faizabad, New Milour, Satellite Town, Muslim Town, Sadiqabad, Pindora, Raja Bazaar and the Pirwadhai area and sealed the defaulters’ properties.
