Police have arrested 53 persons including 16 absconders and proclaimed offenders (POs) from Karachi during the last 24 hours and recovered arms from their possession. The police arrested five outlaws after three encounters at separate areas of the city. Overall, the police recovered 15 different types of firearms from the arrested accused. Meanwhile, 195 persons were also nabbed for violating ban on pillion riding. In the meantime, five persons were killed and nine others were injured in different mishaps in the city during 24 hours, police spokesman said.
