The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Wednesday asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to maintain law and order.
The demand was made through a resolution passed by a consultative meeting held in the PML-N provincial secretariat with provincial president Pir Sabir Shah in the chair.
Those who attended were Central Secretary General Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, opposition leader in KP Assembly Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan, Provincial General Secretary Rahmat Salam Khattak, Malik Jehanzeb Khan, Farid Toofan, Iftikhar Khan Mohmand, Ikhtiar Wali and Nisar Wardag.
The meeting expressed concern over the killing of two MPAs and asked the government to guarantee law and order and take measures to protect lives and property of the people.
Through another resolution, the party also demanded that the Provincial Finance Commission divide resources of the province and ensure the mitigation of backwardness of different regions, including southern districts, Malakand, Hazara and Peshawar in proportion to revenue generation.
