Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has claimed to resolve load shedding issue in a week if the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) were handed over to him.
Addressing the House over load shedding issue, the chief minister complained that the federal government wsa not implementing load shedding schedule per announcement.
He added that requirement of electricity in KP was 2400MW, but the antiquated supply system could not bear it.
The KP chief minister said 13 percent of the country’s electricity production was allocated for KP, but it was not being given to the province owing to discrimination.
Khattak vowed to resign from the chief minister’s post if he remained unsuccessful in solving public issue.
