Supply of natural gas to industries and CNG stations in Punjab will remain suspended for a week after four gas fields in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces were closed down due to annual maintenance.
According to details, two gas fields namely Sawan and Tajan in Sindh and Mol and Gargari fields in KP have been closed down.
Due to shut down of these gas fields, SNGPL is facing shortage of around 250 mcf gas as a consequence of which gas supply has been stopped from today for industries and CNG stations.
CNG stations in Faisalabad, Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi will get gas supply only for 24 hours in the whole week while CNG stations in Lahore, Sheikhopura, Sahiwal, Multan and Gujranwala will remain shut for a week.
