The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday barred Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Nazir Ahmed Sangi from initiating any action against the petitioners who challenged the alleged fake degree of the VC and sought his removal from the slot.
A single judge bench of the IHC issued these directives while hearing a petition filed by the Employees Welfare Association seeking the direction to restrict the VC from taking any adverse action against them. During the course of hearing, counsel for the petitioner apprised the bench that the officials who have filed the case against the VC fear adverse action being taken against them. After hearing the arguments, the bench directed the VC not to take any action against the petitioners. In an earlier hearing, the court had issued notice to the VC in a case seeking his removal from the position for having a fake PhD degree.
Let the law take its own course. If the VC has valid degrees he should not worry
