Wassan decries centre’s ultimatum to Sindh

Sindh Minister for Prison, Mines and Minerals Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that the Sindh government attaches top priority to law and order in Sindh, particularly Karachi.

The minister said this while inaugurating pictorial exhibition on life of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto arranged by Aga Feroze at the YMCA Auditorium on Friday.

It is moral and legal responsibility of the federal government to take sincere steps and support the Sindh government efforts initiated for the larger interest of peace. Adding that an ultimatum or deadline particularly to one province was not a solution to targeted killings as the similar situation was prevailing in Blochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Wassan further said that Section 144 had already been imposed on lifting of reti and bajri from over all Sindh particularly Malir and drastic action would be taken against violators.

The minister vowed that revolutionary changes could be seen in prisons very soon as he would start visiting prisons of Sindh after ending of Budget Session 2013. Wassan announced to establish a museum at Karachi for preserving the historical pictures of Bhutto family.
