In this hot and humid season, the people are living a miserable life due to the failure of power supply and water scarcity.
Residents of different localities including Tilak Incline, Heerabad, Saddar, Resham Bazar, Cloth Market, Lajput Road, Latifabad and Qasimabad complained of prolong power suspension and water shortage.
The peoples of different areas talking to this scribe on Friday said that sometimes the period of power suspension extended even to the morning and people were unable to fill their overhead water tank. They said besides power suspension the area people were facing low voltage since long.
The business community said that due to power failures their businesses had suffered a lot. They said they were unable to run their businesses in the evening hours due to power cuts which were causing them huge losses every month. Residents of Tilak Incline complained of fluctuations and low voltage in the area, saying that television, refrigerator, and computers could not be used due to the problem. They said that power supply played hide and seeks the whole day. Complainants from Sarfraz Colony, AfandiTown, Paretabad, Khuda ki- Basti and Sabzi Mundi said they were facing shortage of water. “We use this water which causes hepatitis B and C. The citizens of different localities appealed to the higher authorities to solve their problems.
