Exhibition of embroidery samples by FATA females on June 27

Aik Hunar Aik Nagar (AHAN) is arranging a one day exhibition of samples developed by female beneficiaries from FATA who participated in a training programme focusing on embroidery. The exhibition will held on 27th of June at Guzel (Multi brand design outlet) in University Town area. AHAN and FATA Development Authority (FDA) had jointly arranged training by conducting Training of the Trainers (TOT) project, said a press release issued here. The training phase besides skill enhancement also involved capacity building in terms of enterprise & marketing and sample development. The first phase of the training project focusing on embroidery training to the master trainers has since been completed and quality products have been developed therefore it has been decided to arrange an exhibition of the products produced by trainees, adds the press release. Apart from giving opportunity of display to the products prepared by trainees from FATA, the exhibition will also help build linkages for these females with business houses and donor organizations. The main purpose of the event is to build sustainable linkages for these women of FATA with donor organiations so that the donors can be encouraged for further investment in human capital in FATA, observed Regional Coordinator AHAN KPK, Sayed Zahid Ali Shah. He said the project aims to not only develop the skills of the trainees but also to help them develop sustainable linkages with business forum and large business houses in the country and for this purpose this exhibition is arranged.
