45 lawbreakers arrested

Rawalpindi police have arrested 45 lawbreakers, including 11 gamblers, and seized 7,160 grams of charas, 300 grams of heroin, 1,153 bottles of liquor, four pistols of 30 bore with 11 rounds, one pistol 32 bore with three rounds, one Kalashnikov, one dagger, stolen wood, fireworks items and string rolls from their possession.

According to a police spokesman, Race Course police arrested Amir and Munsab and recovered 1,200 grams and 1,430 grams of charas from their possession, respectively. Police also recovered 300 bottles of liquor from Iftikhar while 370 liquor bottles were recovered from the custody of Mahwish.
Police recovered 1,120 charas from Usman. Naseerabad police arrested Shehzad with 1,050 grams charas and another accused namely Munnawar was nabbed with 1,230 grams charas.
Gujjar Khan police conducted a raid and netted Azhar and Najabat with 450 bottles of liquor.
Other accused were arrested with possession of illegal weapons, drugs, liquor, stolen wood worth Rs 300,000, fireworks items, string rolls and kites.
In another raid conducted by the police in Islampura, gamblers namely Gulraiz, Mazhar, Atif, Jahangir, Asif,and Babar were arrested and Rs 9,540 stake money including eight mobile phones were recovered. .
Meanwhile, Jatli police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid at Kariala and arrested four gamblers identified as Shehzad, Akmal, Asad and Shehzad and recovered Rs 89,000 stake money, four mobile phones and other items.
