A woman was robbed of her valuables while travelling from Qainchi to Shahdara in the city’s Metro Bus on Friday. Parveen was traveling with her daughter in the bus when an unidentified woman tried to snatch her purse. Upon offering resistance, an unidentified man approached the woman and snatched away her purse and handed it over to his third accomplice immediately after taking the bus hostage. Two of the three robbers were caught by the police as the bus stopped at its last station. However the third robber fled with Rs 75,000 cash, some gold and a mobile phone. The Shahdara police have initiated an investigation after arresting two of the robbers who have been identified as Imran and Khalida, residents of Shahdara.
