Law enforcement agencies have arrested two suspects involved in a gun-and-bomb attack on Friday which killed 15 people at a mosque in Peshawar.
At least three attackers had stormed the Madrassa Hussainia mosque and Imambargah on Friday in a largely Shia neighbourhood in the city’s suburbs. The deadly assault left at least 15 worshipers dead as one of the attackers detonated his suicide vest.
Sources said on Saturday that the two arrested suspects, one in his 20’s and the other in his 30’s, were arrested and taken to Lady Reading Hospital after they were injured following a grueling gun-battle with security forces.
Officials said the two suspects were later shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
Video footage and photographs of the suspects showed that one of them was severely injured with multiple bullet wounds and head injuries.
The suspect was allegedly shooting at worshipers inside the Madrassa Hussainia mosque and was injured after his accomplice blew up his suicide vest.
Officials claimed the two suspects were arrested on a tip-off after law enforcement agencies arrested at least 25 suspects during a search operation in Gulbahar, Haji Camp and Gulshan Colony areas.

Attackers arrested but they will come out from detention because (CJP) cheep justice is there in Pakistan.

Arrested but intelligence will now do nothing to stop the terrorism, shifting them to some unknown place this is the last step what will happen next nobody knows and then again some other blast will happen in future, sadly have to say not a safe country where religion is divided in many aspects of different thoughts.

They have captured the suspects…why not interrogate them and find out who their religious leaders are and arrest them for inciting violence?…or would that mean that all mullahs would have to be arrested…is this the problem that Pakistan cannot solve?
Re comments by Khan Baba and ar-khan above: We do not yet know whether the suspects are guilty or not. Let there be investigation and trial first. It is yet pre-mature to talk about punishment. If Khan Baba were in their place would he not want a fair trial?
