An ASI and two suspected terrorists were killed on Saturday in a joint operation by the police and security agencies. The shoot-out lasted about six hours.
According to details, upon receiving information regarding a suspected terrorist hideout, police and security forces launched a joint operation for six hours in the area of Buner at Ambela Phari.
Police and security forces reached Ambela area and clamped curfew in adjoining areas and after a six hour-search, two terrorists were killed and one escaped from the scene.
A bullet fired from a hideout hit ASI Ameer Aurangzeb and he died on the spot. One citizen was also injured in the exchange of fire.
