The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday took notice of sodomy and murder of a 9th class student in the Factory Area.
Lahore District & Sessions Judge has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.
According to details, Kashif Mehmood son of Feroz Din, resident of Yasin Town Ghazi Road, went out for some work in the evening but did not return. His elder brother Shafaqat lodged a complaint with the Factory Area police when he could not find his brother. The very next day, some people spotted a body hanging by the ceiling in a nearby plaza and informed the police. The body turned out to be Kashif’s. According to news reports, the police said that some unidentified men kidnapped Kashif and killed him after sodomising and threw his body in a plaza for fear of being caught.
