Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday said the abductors of his son, Ali Haider Gilani, had not contacted him so far.

“There is no clue and no progress towards the recovery of Ali Haider Gilani, the situation is the same as before,” Gilani told reporters at the PPP’s Central Secretariat at a ceremony held to celebrate the 60th birth anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.

To a query about the struggle of the government in the recovery of his son, Gilani said he would express his satisfaction “once the matter ends on a positive note”.

To another question, the PPP leader said no one could match the sacrifices rendered by Benazir Bhutto, adding that “her martyrdom is not a loss to Pakistan but to the entire world”.
