The exhibition of photographic masterpieces of the Wazir Khan Mosque’ architecture captured by Kulsoom Aftab continues to attract the art lovers at Nomad Gallery.
A number of visitors thronged the gallery to see the eye-catching photographic images carrying traditional and historical look.
“The artist has very skilfully captured the historical images exploring the most attractive dimensions”, a visitor said. “Many artists have earlier captured these scenes but these photographs have left deep impact on my mind with the unique angling.”
The artist, who graduated from National Council of Arts Lahore, has focused on decorative tiles and terra cotta products of the mosques to highlight beauty of the historical mosque which is greatly admired by the visitors.
She artistically unveiled the beauty of purana darwaza, jharoka, kabootar and murghay through her work.
Kulsoom Aftab, who has participated in a number of exhibitions, is a talented artist and photographer. She has done some special work on Wazir Khan Mosque in the culture city of Lahore. This mosque has been photographed by thousands of people over the years, but Kulsoom has managed to give different angles that make it all the more appealing and real.
The show would continue until June 30.
