Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan formally took oath today as member of the National Assembly in a session chaired by speaker Ayaz Sadiq.

Sadiq, who defeated Imran in the May 11 general elections from NA-122 constituency in Lahore, administered the oath to the PTI chief.

Earlier, in a message on social networking website Twitter, the cricketer-turned-politician had said he would be taking oath in the National Assembly on June 19.

Khan had also said he would be speaking on the budget the same day.

“My address to the Parliament will lay out PTI’s policy on crucial national issues and how the KP govt will be a role model of clean, efficient governance,” Khan added.

  1. MASHALLAH Imran Bhai. That day is not work when you will taking an oath as a Prime Minister of Pakistan

    • INSHAALLAH. He truly is a great man with a vision to clean up the country from the prevailing corruption, money laundering , HALWA eating politicians.

    • surely you are referring to either yourself or NS-the whole PML N lot of cursed beings

    • If a person promising clean administration looks like a clown to some Pakistanis, then Pakistan ka Allahi Hafiz!

  2. IK is visionary , intellectual phenomena we have been looking for — many cannot understand him. which is OK… it will take them sometime to understand what he is talking about. He will take us to the level which is meant for Pakistan. Pakistan is a place where people will live like Insaan , respect each other , with equal opportunities for all.

    • KAOUSER – You got it right. May Allah bless you and all who think like you- Ameen. your uncle from america.

  3. NOT YET PHYSICALLY FIT BUT FULL OF ENERGY AND TRUE LOVE FOR HIS PEOPLE AND THE SOIL HE STANDS ON IMRAN KHAN STOOD UP IN THE PARLIAMENT AND SPOKE WITH TRUE SPIRIT AND NOBLE FEELINGS FOR HIS COUNTRY. THE WORDS SPRANG UP FROM THE DEPTHS OF HIS HEART AND EVERY WORD SEEKING PLEASURE IN THE SERVICE OF HIS PEOPLE. SO FAR THE RESPONSE FROM THE GOVT SEEMS TO BE POSITIVE HOW OFTEN WE HAVE WITNESSED DOUBLE-TALK BEFORE. EVEN NOW THE LEADER OF THE GOVT IS SEEKING PLEASURE IN WEARING JEWELS AND EXPENSIVE ATTIRE WHILE MORE THAN HALF OF HIS POPULATION IS STRUGGLING TO MAKE ENDS MEET AND THEY ARE HIS RESPONSIBILITY. WHEN WILL OUR RULERS REALISE THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES AND SEEK PLEASURE IN DELIVERING.

    • NOT UNTIL IMRAN KHAN IS ELECTED TO LEAD THE GOVERNMENT. UNTIL THEN, THE CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS EITHER WILL CONTINUE AS THEY ARE OR GET WORST.
