A Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) official said on Monday that the ongoing pre-monsoon spell would end in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and other parts of the country on Tuesday.
However, it would continue in various parts of Sindh till Wednesday.
A westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of Pakistan and is likely to move north-eastward in the next 24 hours.
The hot and dry spell would continue for four to five days and there are few chances of rain over the weekend, he added.
Maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were 33 degrees Celsius in Islamabad, 31 degrees in Lahore, 39 degrees in Karachi, 34 degrees in Peshawar, 32 degrees in Quetta, 20 degrees in Skardu, 22 degrees in Murree, 34 degrees in Muzzafarabad, 27 degrees in Gilgit, 32 degrees in Faisalabad, 34 degrees in Multan and 38 degrees in Hyderabad.
