PM reshuffles top bureaucracy

In its second phase of making changes in the top bureaucracy, the newly-elected government on Tuesday reshuffled and appointed several babus.

According to the notification, Ministry of Education and Training Secretary Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has been given new assignment of interior secretary.

Nargis Sethi has been appointed economic affairs secretary and Sami Saeed has been given the slot of cabinet secretary.

Munir Qureshi was made Overseas Pakistani and Human Resource Development secretary, Shehzad Arbab was appointed the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary and Qasim Niaz was appointed the commerce secretary.

Shahid Rasheed has been given the slot of establishment secretary and Shahid Khan has been appointed the secretary for Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Immigration and Passport Director General Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema has been made the Motorway IG while Seerat Ashgha Jora has been given the position of food security secretary and Ruksana Shah was made the secretary for Textile Division.

Attaullah Toro has been appointed the federal ombudsman secretary and Naveed Saleemi has been given the charge of secretary for Federal Public Service Commission.
